Together, We Can Conquer Any Crisis!

About The Project

Community resilience is becoming increasingly important in the face of growing climate challenges in urban and rural communities. However, many communities and municipal administrations are still in the early stages of their efforts to prepare for extraordinary situations and actively engage their citizens in measures to address these challenges. In many cases, there is a lack of structured concepts and effective methods to strengthen collective resilience, making it difficult for municipalities to maintain their capacity for action and foster cooperation among different social actors.

The CO-DEAL project has been developed to bridge this gap and enhance the competencies of municipal staff through innovative training programs and interactive virtual simulations. These learning methods aim to contribute to creating inclusive and resilient communities capable of facing climate challenges. The project places special emphasis on participation-based solutions that is training in cooperation and active citizen participation with the overarching goal of embedding resilience strategies at the institutional level and within the community.
